Privacy & Terms
The short version: your game data is temporary, your videos belong to your game night, and everything can be deleted in one tap. Last updated June 2026.
What we collect
- The name you enter when you join a game (use your first name — no account required).
- Game activity: votes, roles, and game events, kept only as long as the game exists.
- Confession videos you choose to record in the Confessional booth.
- If the host turns on the Suspicion Meter: transcripts of confessions, generated by an AI service, used only to compute the anonymous suspicion display. When the meter is off, nothing is transcribed or analyzed.
How long it lives
- A game and all its data expire automatically about 24 hours after the last activity.
- Confession videos are deleted automatically when their game expires.
- If you claim your videos with your email at the endgame, that game’s videos are kept for 30 days instead so we can send you your links. Your email is used only for that and for product news — never sold, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
- Hosts can erase a game and every one of its videos instantly (Host console → Director’s Tools → Erase Game & Videos).
Where it lives, who sees it
- Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Vercel and Upstash, US regions).
- Video links are unguessable but not password-protected — like an unlisted video. Only people with your game can reach them, and they die with the game.
- We don’t sell data, run ads, or share anything with third parties beyond the infrastructure and AI providers that make the game work.
- Confession transcripts and suspicion analysis are only ever shown to the game’s host and (as anonymous totals) on the game screen. Quotes are never shown publicly.
Recording & consent
- Only you can record yourself — the booth runs on your own phone and nothing records until you press the button.
- By recording a confession you’re agreeing your game group will see it at the finale. Don’t record people who haven’t agreed to play.
Terms, briefly
- This is a party game, provided as-is, for entertainment. Don’t use it for anything that matters legally.
- Be kind: accuse boldly in the game, but harassment, hate, or recording people without consent isn’t allowed.
- Players under 13 need a grown-up hosting the game.
